Meet your Instructors

Ariana Kamprad

Co-owner | Yoga Teacher (RYT 200)

Ariana's (RYT 200) yoga journey began in 2009 when she began practicing vinyasa. She quickly fell in love with the practice. She noticed with a regular yoga practice she not only felt stronger physically, but she became less anxious and felt more content with herself emotionally. Ariana became certified to teach yoga in 2015 after studying vinyasa and hatha yoga. She strives to cultivate an environment that encourages students to access the emotional and mental benefits of a yoga practice as well as the physical with every class she teaches. Along with teaching vinyasa flow, Ariana specializes in yoga for teen girls and prenatal yoga.

Ariana currently facilitates our monthly Women's Circles and will teach during our Autumn Women's Retreat.

Charlsie Sienkwicz

Yoga Teacher (RYT 200)

Charlsie (RYT 200) took her first yoga class at Montgomery College and instantly fell in love with the practice. She soon thereafter pursued her teaching certification at Thrive Yoga in Rockville. Yoga has helped her cope with many life struggles, find strength and balance, and learn to slow down; both on and off the mat. Though first attracted to yoga for the physical benefits, with her natural curiosity for the metaphysical world, it did not take long for Charlsie to experience the true power of yoga!

Charlsie is currently teaching a Beginner Level Series, Wednesdays at 6:30PM.  This class is located at the Clarksburg Towne Center.

Liz Phelan

Yoga Teacher (RYT 500)

For Liz (RYT 500) sharing yoga as a teacher is the fullest expression of her practice. Her teaching style holds space for how her students show up; starting with a strong foundation puts beginners at ease as we move through variations that invite the advanced student to find a fresh perspective on their practice. Thanks to many awesome teachers and training opportunities, she is equally at home teaching a slow-burning vinyasa flow as a sweet and deeply restorative class. Her favorite practices balance playfulness and creativity with surrender and ease.

Liz teachers Vinyasa Flow Thursdays at 7:00 PM, located at MBT.

Maria Alutto

Yoga Teacher (RYT 200)

Maria began practicing yoga in 2004, during her time as an undergrad at the University of Massachusetts. After experiencing a personal health scare, she was determined to meaningfully reevaluate her lifestyle choices and commit to achieving better balance both on and off her mat. Maria has since earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology, become a National Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher, and previously held certifications in fitness and health coaching. Maria is a firm believer in not taking herself too seriously and brings a playful, lighthearted twist and upbeat playlist to all her classes. Maria leads a strong but accessible practice, always encouraging her students to stay connected to their bodies, safely finding their edge, and modifying as necessary. Supporting others on their journey is the work Maria feels most passionate about. She is very open with her students and holds space for wherever a class may lead.

Maria is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have studied under teachers Barbara Ruzansky, Ellen Heed, Brian Yuen, Lori Shepard, Jill Miller, Nykki Poole, Jude Russell, and Shankara Newton. Each of her teachers have been essential to the development of her own
practice as well as her teaching. Maria is a proud mother of two precocious girls and an incredibly loyal Australian Labradoodle. She works in venture philanthropy as the Director of Partnerships and Engagement for NewSchools Venture Fund, a nonprofit based in Oakland, CA and has devoted her career to achieving greater educational equity.
